Hartford Hospital, founded in 1854, one of the largest teaching hospitals and tertiary care centers in New England with perhaps the region’s busiest surgery practice, has been training physicians for over 150 years. It is a member of Hartford HealthCare, a large, diversified health care system. The hospital is an 867-bed regional referral center that provides high-quality care in all clinical disciplines. Among its divisions is The Institute of Living, a 114-bed mental health facility with a national and international reputation of excellence. Jefferson House, a 104-bed long-term care facility, is also part of Hartford Hospital.

Established in 1825, the Hospital has 969 licensed acute care beds, with major programs in a wide range of clinical specialties. Services are provided at five locations — the main hospital facility and Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, both in Center City Philadelphia; Methodist Hospital in South Philadelphia; Jefferson at the Navy Yard, just past the sports complex; and Jefferson-Voorhees in South Jersey.

Founded by Kate Fisher Blair in 1911, in memory of her late husband John Chalmers Blair, the hospital is located on “Hospital Hill” overlooking the community of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center is a federally qualified community health center established in 1968 in a collaboration between the community and Yale School of Medicine. The first community health center in Connecticut, the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center has a long history of serving New Haven neighborhoods, which are among the most disadvantaged in the State.
